Kathi Dobson is a 20 year veteran of the construction industry, and has spent her entire safety career with Alberici Constructors. She has served NAWIC as the national safety & health committee chair and the national OSHA-NAWIC alliance chair in addition to many chapter and regional positions. She is an advocate and influencer in the realm of safety, and is a recognized leader in standards development. She is especially interested in safety and health issues surrounding women in the building trades.
Compliance Assistance Specialist at Austin Area OSHA office
Joann Natarajan is the Compliance Assistance Specialist in the Austin Area OSHA office. Her current duties are to promote voluntary compliance through training, outreach, and interface with business, industry, trade unions and workers. Prior to accepting this position, she was a Compliance Officer for 13 years in the Austin Area office. As a Compliance Officer, she conducted 400 + worksite inspections in the manufacturing, service, and construction industries. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Masters work in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Joe Wesley worked at Jacobs Engineering 10 years before joining Comfort Systems in 2017 as a Regional Safety Director. Joe has been married 16 years to wife Trina and they have two kids’ daughter Sienna 10 and son, Stone 8. He attended LSU on a Football scholarship from 1995 to 1998. Was a 4-year letter winner, awarded the LSU George M. Wallace Award in 1997 and 1998, team captain in 1998, and won most outstanding Defensive Player at the 1998 Blue Gray College Football All-star Game. Joe graduated with a degree in Industrial Safety. Currently completing the MBA program through the LSU System online. From LSU, Joe went on to play linebacker in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and in NFL Europe with the Berlin Thunder. The Thunder were World Bowl Champions in 2001. Since 2007 Joe has been involved with the NFLPA Former Players Houston Chapter. Served as Chapter President 2015 to 2018. In 2016 they were awarded Chapter of the Year. The Chapter functions to direct players to resources, benefits, and engages in local community service and business networking.
