Please join SABABC as it presents Legal Ethics and Junior Lawyers. This event focuses on the ethical issues faced by junior lawyers including common pitfalls. Our speakers will provide expert insights on how junior lawyers can stay on top of their ethical obligations while developing their legal practices.


We will be joined by two esteemed Law Society benchers and SABABC members Pinder Cheema and Cheryl D'Sa. Our moderator is SABABC member Sutheeksan (Dixon) Sunthoram.


The South Asian Bar Association of British Columbia is pleased to present the first event of our Ethics Series: Legal Ethics and Junior Lawyers.


The panelists will share their insights about the ethical issues that junior lawyers are most likely to encounter in their practice, how junior lawyers should handle various ethical issues, as well as share resources that are available to help resolve ethical issues before they result in a complaint to the Law Society.


This event will take place on June 14, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm PST via Zoom and features a panel consisting of:


  1. Pinder Cheema, Q.C., counsel at the Ministry of Attorney General; and
  2. Cheryl D'Sa, counsel and managing partner at Narwal Litigation LLP.


This panel will be moderated by SABABC member Sutheeksan (Dixon) Sunthoram of Dentons Canada LLP.
