The Mid-Atlantic Association of Career Schools (MAACS) Annual Conference is one of the largest conferences in the country for career school officials and affiliated companies. The event draws approximately 250 people a year representing schools, vendor companies, accrediting agencies, education policy-makers, and other guests. The conference blends several dozen sessions and meetings to provide content to schools on a vast array of subjects, along with several networking and social events, and time with exhibiting companies that sell products and services to schools.
This year's conference location is Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Located in rural Western Pennsylvania, this resort has activities to offer for all ages and interests. Registration for conference is expected to open in early January 2025. Full conference agenda and program is expected to be released at end of February 2025. For planning and travel booking purposes, here is what to expect:
July 14 - This is a travel day to conference for most guests. We will only have pre-conference social and networking events this day. Our annual golf tournament will be held during the afternoon, and our opening conference cocktail reception will be in the evening. This is also a good day for guests to enjoy the many activities and amenities on the resort.
July 15 - This will be a day full of content and networking. In the morning, we will have our annual cosmetology and barber school meeting and luncheon. We will likely have other workshops available in the morning for other trade schools. Our full conference will begin around lunchtime with plenary sessions and multiple breakout sessions in the afternoon. These sessions will cover diverse topics meant for school leaders, compliance staff, career services, financial aid, admissions, marketing, educators and faculty, cybersecurity, and more. Our Exhibitor Hall will be open this day. We also plan to have an evening cocktail reception.
July 16 - This will be another day full of content with plenary sessions and multiple breakout sessions again covering diverse topics for school leaders, compliance staff, career services, financial aid, admissions, marketing, educators and faculty, cybersecurity, and more. Our Exhibitor Hall will also be open this day. We expect to close the conference with our Annual Awards Luncheon in the early afternoon. Conference will conclude after the luncheon.
