Jen joined MMHA as Executive Secretary in 2016, entasked with the administration of MMHA. With advocacy as a priority, her passion and determination to shed more light to mental health in our community was further driven through various collaborations in awareness and promotion of mental health, especially in the workplaces. In 2019, MMHA further expanded its psychological support services with the establishment of The Mind Hub, and she had the honour of helming MMHA as its executive director. To date, they have a team of 12 associate mental health professionals ranging from psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, counsellor and mental health rehab officer, on top of our administrative staff. We support caregivers through our support groups, job placements for people living with chronic, serious mental health issues, and provide hands-on internships for tertiary education students.
Tony House worked as a Senior Community Psychiatric Nurse with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for more than 20 years, supervising Infant mental health specialist staff and working with Youth Justice Mental Health Services.
More recently he worked with Penumbra, a mental health NGO, as a Recovery Practitioner with young adults and was a Trustee/Manager for a Post Natal Depression charity. Tony is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Nurse Independent Prescriber and is a qualified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. Tony is one of Riverside Consulting’s international ADHD trainers delivering programmes in Shanghai, Qingdao, Ningbo, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Jiangmen and Zhuhai, China.
Marie Ashwood has run her own private psychotherapy practice for 12 years working with adults and children, couples and families. She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse, an EMDR practitioner (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and a Certified Transactional Analyst.
Marie trained as a nurse over 20 years ago, working initially on an Adult Acute inpatient ward, and then as a Community Psychiatric Nurse and Nurse Independent Prescriber with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Scotland, retiring in 2018. Marie is one of Riverside Consulting’s international ADHD trainers and has been delivering programmes in a number of Chinese cities since 2011.
Dr Eugene Koh Boon Yau is a psychiatrist and medical lecturer from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is also an acceptance and commitment therapist that focuses on brief psychological interventions, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and performance enhancement in sports. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Eugene was involved with a few psychosocial support projects for front-liners.
