University of Michigan Sound Support
oto-soundsupportci@med.umich.eduSound Support is a matching grant funded by the Department of Otolaryngology and Michigan
Medicaid. The mission of Sound Support is to improve the quality and timeliness of care for children
who are deaf/hard of hearing, including diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. We aim to reduce
the cost associated with medical, social, and educational management of individuals who are
deaf/hard of hearing. Through Sound Support, we provide outreach to schools, presentations/in-services
related to hearing loss and outreach in various forms for families.
