The Lawyers hub runs the Africa Digital Policy Institute, Africa Law Tech association, The Africa Startup Law Accelerator and convenes the annual Africa Law Tech Festival and the Africa Legal Innovation week on Justice innovation. Linda has worked to steer the Lawyers Hub to a regional Tech Policy Hub in record time. Linda is a respected Tech lawyer and a licensed attorney of the High Court of Kenya. As a thought leader in Tech regulation, She has appeared on various international and Local media including the BBC, Deutsche Welle, France 24 and aptly spoken at international fora notably the Internet Governance Forum, Council of Europe and to select members of the German parliament on tech, regulation and entrepreneurship.

Since the public launch in July 2020, Prosper has gained traction boasting of a large number of mentors and mentees and a recognition as one of the 2020 top 100 IT innovations in East Africa by CIO. Many mentees have benefited from the paid mentorship services and have realized early gains from tapping into the mentors’ wise counsel on career, and personal growth matters.

She has a multi-faceted and multi-national career spanning over 16 years in telecommunications, digital financial services and on-demand services having held a number of roles in strategy, operations, applications support, digital solutions and business transformation in Visa, Vodafone, Airtel and Barclays. Her immediate previous role was, Visa’s Senior Director for Financial Inclusion where successfully led the development and implementation of Visa’s financial inclusion strategy and products expanding access to financial services for Micro Small Medium Enterprises across Africa. She also set up African Women in Fintech and Payments’ Network, Kenya Chapter where she is currently the board Chairperson.

Prior to joining Visa in 2017, Topy headed Airtel Kenya’s mobile money business between 2014 and 2016 where she led a team of 46 in strategy and tactical execution to deliver value, grow market share, and increase revenues, while maximizing shareholder value. Before that, from 2012 to 2014 she was M-Pesa Principal Product Manager at Vodafone Group based in London, England where she led M-Pesa commercial and strategy for emerging markets, commercial product development for Kenya, Tanzania and new markets launches in Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Romania and Albania.

Since 2015, Topy has consistently received various awards and recognition as one of the few women Africa who have excelled in Technology and used her early success in this area to ascend into leadership. In 2020, Prosper was recognized by CIO East Africa as one of the top 100 technology innovations in East Africa. In 2018, she was awarded among Kenya’s top 40 under 40 women, In 2017 women, she became a Global TechWomen Emerging Leader Fellow after representing Kenya in USA on a US state department program for Women in Technology. She was also recognized and featured in INSEAD's “Limitless” campaign recognizing alumni making a difference globally. She was also in the global women in Fintech Powerlist in 2017. In 2016, Topy received the Gold Stevie Award for Women in Technology and, at the first annual IT women conference in sub-Saharan Africa in 2015; she was named IT Woman of the Year for leading Airtel Kenya’s Airtel Money team in innovating the Airtel Money Pesa Card.

Topy was awarded a Nelson Mandela scholarship to study at INSEAD Business School in France where she received an MBA. She has a first class honors in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University and a Higher Diploma in Management of Information Systems from Strathmore University. He also served as Head for GroupM digital Africa at WPP-Scangroup. Manish is a published author, a runner and loves to play tennis and support Liverpool FC.

As a marketer, her worldview is highly influenced by the assumption that it is essential to approach problem solving in marketing and life generally using the customer’s orientation. He has facilitated consultations and trainings in leadership in 26 African countries and 17 others globally as the Vice President-Strategy for International Leadership Foundation. He chaired of the Governing Council of the University of Nairobi from March 2017 till 2018 and is currently the Vice Chancellor of International Leadership University. He has sat on seven boards of non-profit and for-profit firms, chairing three of them.


Tim was the CEO of the Ethical Leadership Network (ELNET; 2008-2018), which seeks to model lived-out integrity in Kenya--especially in the spheres of governance, ethical business, and mentoring of the next generation of leaders. ELNET, in collaboration with the International Leadership Foundation contributed a values framework to Kenya’s Vision 2030 strategy which led to Kenya’s national values and principles, and also the values for leadership and integrity in Chapter 6 of Kenya’s new constitution. ELNET has so far awarded 22 Ethical Kenyan leaders and 18 Ethical Kenyan Businesses and Organizations [after attaining a perception index of over 80%].

Tim received his PhD from Regent University (USA) in Organizational Leadership - Global Leadership emphasis. He is driven by a conviction that Africa’s vast natural and human resources can be maximized for her development and also to make a contribution to the world. His earlier studies were a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Nairobi – First Class Hons.), and an MA in Leadership Studies (Azusa Pacific Univ., USA). He has published eight academic papers, including a chapter in ‘Leading an African Renaissance’ a 2017 academic book.

She is a co-founder of the International School of Advertising, a training partner of the Advertising Practitioners Association (APA), which transitions graduates and early stage employees into careers in Marketing and Brand communications through an apprenticeship program.

Susan’s passion for professional development is demonstrated in the roles she has held in industry; including heading the training committee of the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK), between 2004 to 2006; and heading the training sub-committee in the Advertising Practitioners Association (APA) since 2007 to-date. She currently sits on the Education board of KEPSA and has for several years been appointed on the Judging panel of the Marketing Society of Kenya Awards and Think Business Awards.

She was also recently appointed to the International Advertising Association(IAA) as representative of East Africa region in the Education council.

Susan is also a volunteer trainer in the Sinapis and TBN Entrepreneurship programs and actively supports various communications activities at her place of worship, Nairobi Chapel.

She moved back to Kenya in 2012 and worked as CEO of FAFA (Festival of African Fashion & Arts), responsible for creating a market for East African fashion designers both locally and internationally, providing fashion training for young designers through the FAFA Insight Project and planning Kenya's biggest fashion gala, FAFA.

She is currently a Project Manager Consultant ,most recently for British Council's Creative DNA Project, responsible for planning and overseeing three major Fashion & Textile projects.

She is a farmer in her free time and the founder of a Kenyan honey brand called Marigat Gold. She plays a major role in providing Agribusiness mentorship to Kenya's youth, having been part of Safaricom's Entrepreneurship Program, "BLAZE Be your own Boss" for 3 years. Her mentorship focus is on value addition, branding and market access.

She has a degree in International Business Administration from The United States International University and an MSc in Project Management from The University of Salford, Manchester. She is a Mandela Washington Fellow and was listed in Business Daily's Top 40 under 40 Women in Kenya in 2018.
