Geoff can be classed as an international retail veteran having worked over 30 years in some of the world’s leading food retailers. Geoff is CEO of The Food Purveyor (Village Grocer and BIG) - Malaysia’s premium supermarket operator, and a non-exec director of Russia’s largest food retailer, X5 Retail Group. Geoff came to Malaysia in 2010 as Group CFO of Maxis Communications Berhad and before that, spent 22 years in senior roles with Tesco both in the UK, Europe and across Asia.

Andrew has worked in the Banking industry for 33 years, where his experience spans many sectors and has specialised in the Food & Drink arena over the last 8 years. He joined Santander Corporate & Commercial 7 years ago and currently Heads up the F&D Sector across the UK. He is responsible for developing a sector-specific proposition for UK manufacturers in order to assist businesses with their growth ambitions in the UK and Internationally.

Vikkrama has over 10 years of experience in financial services. He joined Santander Corporate & Commercial to lead the ASEAN Trade Corridor. He is responsible for helping British businesses access opportunities in Southeast Asia and vice versa. Prior to joining Santander, Vikkrama was with Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs covering Fixed Income, Corporate Finance, and Accounting. Vikkrama holds an MBA from IESE Barcelona.

Paul is an experienced Executive Business Manager with a wealth of experience in International markets having worked and lived in the Middle East for more than 30 years. During the last 25 years overseas he was responsible for building, developing and managing agency, distributor and channel partners in the Middle East and African region for one of the largest power and automation companies in the world, ABB, with a prime role of Vice President Middle East and Africa for the division automation products. Paul was also a board member and was involved in ABB’s investment and acquisition programme.

Following a return back to the UK in 2011 Paul headed up an international team within an energy management solutions company rolling out their product range across Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and Australia. Paul’s previous role was with the Department for International Trade (formerly UK Trade & Investment), heading up in the Midlands, the overseas business network initiative. He was developing and supporting a global network of business led partner organisations, to offer a wide range of high quality support in key markets, particularly South East Asia, for exporting companies. Paul is coming into his fourth year with the UK-ASEAN Business Council and is their Director of Trade.

Starting out initially in the Beer, Wines & Spirits industry, Phil has over eighteen years of experience successfully selling and leading OTC/FMCG, as well as luxury handmade soft upholstered brands, both internationally (including Europe, US, Mid-East, Africa, Caribbean, Asia, Australasia) and domestically in the UK. He joined Christie International in Jan 2015 and has been successfully working towards building sales into the ASEAN region on behalf of their brand clients.

Appointed as Executive Director of the BMCC in July 2018, Jennifer oversees all operations and business units of the Chamber. She steers the BMCC’s robust network composed of 260 MNCs & SMEs, together with its associates and key stakeholders from both the private and the public sector. In her role, she drives her team to leverage business matching opportunities for the Chamber’s members, while providing a representative industry/sector voice to engage in purposeful public/ministerial dialogue with key government stakeholders.

She’s also the chief liaison for the BMCC Board of Directors, the Malaysian spokesperson for the bilateral chambers under the British in South East Asia (BISEA) faction. Jennifer also supervises the BMCC’s contract with the British government’s Department International Trade (DIT), whereby the Chamber serves as a platform for British businesses looking to export products & services to Malaysia and develop a presence in-market. As a Chartered Accountant by training, Jennifer has enjoyed a versatile career in professional education and financial industries, including assuming the role as Head of Malaysia at ACCA for 5 years; honing her specialities in developing strategic partnerships, corporate branding and relationship management.
