Splash into Summer with 'Just Action' Book Club

July 9 - August 20

Join us to read Just Action together over the Summer!

As we prepare for Leah Rothstein's keynote at our conference this Fall, we invite you to join us as we dive into the new book Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law, co-written by Leah Rothstein & Richard Rothstein.

In The Color of Law, Richard Rothstein dismantles the myth of de facto segregation, revealing how government policies at all levels actively created and enforced segregation in our communities. Now, Just Action builds upon this foundation, offering a roadmap for undoing the damage wrought by decades of segregation.

The virtual book club will take place every Tuesday from 9:00 - 9:30 AM, starting July 9 and running through August 20. Each week, participants will read two chapters and discuss them in small groups using the provided question prompts. We welcome your participation, even if you can't attend every session.

  • July 9 (Introduction and Chapter 1)
  • July 16 (Chapter 2 & 3)
  • July 23 (Chapter 4 & 5)
