This year's recipient of the Navy Operational Support "BUC Joel E. Baldwin Memorial Award" is Joesph Edward Flores

CM2(SCW) Flores, Joseph Edward is currently the Seabee Combat Warfare Coordinator for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eighteen Detachment Phoenix. Seabee Combat Warfare is the primary designation warfare program of the Naval Construction Force in which he conducts, instructs and motivates training to fellow members. On top of that, he holds the position of Fire Team Leader for 1st Squad; 3rd Platoon for the aforementioned unit and 1st Squad; N4 Platoon for Naval Construction Group One Augment Unit based in NBVC Port Hueneme, CA. Flores' constant learning throughout his career help solidify his outstanding leadership, unbreakable military dedication and gain unmeasurable respect from his peers.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Flores enlisted in the Navy in late 2006 alongside his identical twin brother. His career has brought him to the crystal-clear waters of Guam in support of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion One to the hot sunny lands of Djibouti in support of Special Operations Command Forward East Africa, to name a couple. CM2(SCW) Flores, Joseph Edward proudly carries the Seabee "CAN DO" spirit and cannot wait to see where the Navy takes him next. HOORAH!
