Event Details

This presentation will look at secondary trauma and burn out and its impact on the practitioner. It will look at different strategies for workers to use to manage secondary trauma and the importance of supervision. The presentation will also look at countertransference and post-traumatic growth. Lastly we will look at the importance of self-compassion for ourselves as practitioners who work with individuals who experience trauma.


Learning Objectives:

1.) Participants will understand the difference between secondary trauma and burn out.

3.) Participants will learn about ways to manage secondary trauma and the importance of supervision.
