Grace is a passionate Digital Strategist and the Digital Manager at Safaricom, handling the Brand and Marketing Communication for Brand, Core Products Tribe, Payments Tribe, Fixed Data Tribe and the Enterprise Tribe. Her mandate is to deliver Digital Media and Digital Asset Strategies across all digital platforms ensuring that Safaricom remains at the forefront of innovation as well as ensuring that their content is relevant and well adopted for distribution across relevant channels. Her biggest campaign now is the New Mpesa App, that has delivered 2.5Million downloads, three weeks after launch. Grace was also behind the famous Eliud159 campaign that leveraged Twitter inventory, making it to the top of the Global Twitter trend. This campaign is a Twitter case study. Grace studied Project Planning and Management in her Masters Program, where she wrote a Thesis on Influence of Digital Media across companies in Kenya, a paper that has influenced her outlook on Digital Marketing in Kenya. Grace studied Computer Science and started her career as a Web Developer and then later transitioned into Digital Marketing, worked at WPP ScanGroup as a Digital Manager handling Unilever and Kimberly Clark for close to three years and is now leading the Digital Media team at Safaricom. Grace is also a Facebook Ambassador and an avid digital enthusiast.

Marion is a brand and business strategist with over 10 years’ experience in the world of insights and integrated marketing communications. Her skills come from a combination of agency and corporate experience. Her career started out at a small SME called Instant Grass that was running advocacy and consumer collaboration projects long before influencer marketing as know it was a viable business. She moved to the agency (Scangroup) and worked as a media planner, buyer, and strategist on The Coca-Cola Account for Kenya and Ethiopia. During her time here, she learnt the science of Connections Thinking and became the lead Connections Strategist for 10+ brands in East & Southern Africa. With a burning desire to understand better what the client end of the business, she moved to the corporate world, working for the fast-moving-&-big-data-industry that is telecommunications. In her four years at Airtel Kenya and Safaricom Limited, she learnt how to plan for consumers using Human-centered design, how to mine and evaluate insights, and how to plan for brand & product lifecycles. Marion is now back at the agency (Mediacom) as the lead strategist responsible for designing and upscaling client and media teams on IMC thinking. She is someone who understands what the business needs are and how one can positively manipulate agency machinery to achieve them.
