Jonathan Karanja is the Managing Director of Frontier Consulting Africa, a pan-African data and insight firm based in Kenya. He has over 20 years of market and retail research experience gathered across 21 African and Asian countries. He previously worked with NielsenIQ and KANTAR in his formative years.

His experience spans sectors such as FMCG, Finance, Pharm, automotive, humanitarian, media and telecommunications.

He has been instrumental in helping the growth of local and international brands, through brand loyalty measurement, retail effectiveness index, advertising testing, new product/service development. Frontier Consulting has successfully worked with SMEs to catalyze growth through use of data to understand the customer, product and route to market.

He is a current board member of MSK, previous chair of MSRA, ESOMAR Executive Committee Member on association, and RETRAK member.

He is working towards completing his first marathon in under 6 hours. 😃

Timothy Oriedo is the founder and CEO of Predictive Analytics Lab, which operates in the UK and Kenya. His company develops data strategies and creates predictive models and algorithms for various industries. Timothy is also a certified executive and business coach, holding two coaching certifications from the International Coaching Federation and the World Association of Business Coaching. He is an adjunct executive coach with Strathmore Business School, coaching various programs including Owner Manager Program, Custom Executive Programs and Masters Programs. Timothy has also designed a tool for Covid Accelerated Digital Transformation and Data Transformation, supporting businesses and organizations in Business Continuity and scaling Post Covid.

With over 15 years of experience in the Financial, Media, and Marketing industry, Timothy has worked as Nation Media’s Group General Manager, Broadcast Division and Royal Media Group Head of Digital. He is also a Data Scientist certified by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with competencies in Data Strategy, Digital Transformation and Data Value Business Generator. Additionally, Timothy is a certified Lean IIOT Developer, consulting for the Kenya Association of Manufacturing (KAM) to mainstream adoption of Smart factory and robotics automation in the manufacturing industry.

Timothy lectures on Digital Strategy and Effective Website Design Strategy and Data Analytics for Healthcare System Management at various academic institutions at the Postgraduate level. He is an Executive Trainer on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics and a consultant trainer for the Institute Of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Kenya Association Of Manufacturers (KAM), ABMC International, Chartered Institute of Marketing and Amalgam Leadership Program. Timothy is also the author of a book on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence and a contributing columnist to various publications in the region including the Business Daily, Daily Nation, and CIO.

In addition to being a seasoned keynote speaker, Timothy is the Founding Chairman of the Data Professional Association of Kenya and the founder of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Club. He also sits on the CIO East Africa Advisory Board and is an advisory board member of the College of Chartered Accountants COCA, a leading South African financial certification training provider, and Executive Business School.
