Singapore Landscape Architecture Award
The Singapore Landscape Architecture Award aims to honour and showcase the best works of our landscape architects and promote landscape design innovation in various design disciplines.
All award categories (except the Research, Analysis & Planning category) are open to only SILA Recognised Practices. Participant must be a person representing/submitting on behalf of a SILA Recognised Practice. Local and overseas projects submitted must be built and completed for all categories except the Research, Analysis & Planning Category. The Research, Analysis & Planning Category is open to SILA Recognised Practices and all SILA Full and Graduate members. Each project shall only be allowed to submit one entry. Projects that have not won an award in previous SILA Landscape Architecture Awards may be re-submitted. SILA retains the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the entry requirements or presents a conflict of interest. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.

Landscape Architect/Young Landscape Architect of the Year Award
To raise awareness of the importance of quality landscape design and to recognize the contributions of landscape professionals in the field. The 'Landscape Architect of the year' award seeks to honour landscape architects for their outstanding work and input to the field. Whereas 'The Young Landscape Architect of the year' award recognizes young landscape architects who have shown an exceptional potential to shape the future of landscape profession in Singapore.
Landscape Architect of the Year Award: Individuals nominated for this category must have a consistent, innovative and excellent body of work that has made a difference to the built & natural environment locally/ overseas. The individual must have also made a significant contribution to raising the profile of the landscape architecture profession.
Young Landscape Architect of the Year Award: Individuals nominated for this category must be less than 35 years old and must have demonstrated a strong potential to shape the profession through their remarkable contributions.

Projects in this category are site-specific works of landscape architecture for private residential or public housing use. Entries in this category must be built. Private/public, high-rise or low-rise residential projects; new construction or renovation projects; historic preservation, rehabilitation, or restoration; communal roof-top gardens; private gardens in residential projects, etc.
Projects in this category are any non-residential sites within commercial and industrial properties and the like. Entries in this category must be built. Commercial plazas, properties; including retail, office buildings, mixed-use development; historic preservation, conservation; Industry building, infrastructure, shipyards; abandoned spaces, brownfield sites, etc.
Projects in this category are sites within the hospitality sector that aim to enhance the guest experience while preserving and protecting the natural environment. Entries in this category must be built. Hotels and resorts; guest outdoor amenities; new construction or renovation projects; historic preservation, rehabilitation, or restoration of hospitality sites, etc.
Projects in this category are constructed urban landscape projects that are public in nature, and capture and contribute to the culture and amenity of the urban environment. Entries in this category must be built. All educational institutions/schools; research community; government buildings; museums, civic plazas, etc.
Projects in this category are constructed parks and open spaces that balance the demand for recreation, public open spaces and the environment, or conservation projects that restore habitats and enhance biodiversity. Entries in this category must be built. Regional parks or community parks, waterfront promenades, zoos, botanic gardens, arboretums, waterways, play spaces, habitat restoration or conservation projects, entertainment theme parks, etc.
Entries in this category recognizes the wide scope and variety of other professional & academic activities that landscape architecture entails. Entries in this category are not required to be built or implemented. Academic research; analysis; masterplans; urban, suburban, rural, or regional planning; strategic design and guiding policy documents; visual assessments for urban development; environmental planning; natural resources protection; historic preservation planning; etc.
