As the principal and founder of Retail Doctor Group® in the Australasian and Asian market place, Brian brings considerable senior experience gained in the specialty retail, franchising and shopping centre sectors through line management, consulting, advisory and board roles.


He has successfully led change teams in multi channel retail arenas and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of many notable, integrated retail channel strategy projects including, Optus, Hutchison Telecommunication, Global Brands Group, National Australia Bank and a host of other well recognised retail, franchise retail and service organisations both nationally and internationally. Brian has also successfully advised and operated on boards and associations in retail strategy and deployment.



Brian is a featured columnist for Inside Retailing and Smart Company and the contributing author of on-going articles for publications such as BRW, Australian Business Solutions, RetailBiz, Tech Trader, AFR, Sydney Morning Herald and My Business. Brian is a noted author and has published works in the field of retailing.


Brian founded Retail Doctor Group in 2005. RDG specialises in the development and transformation of retail strategy into increased asset performance, increasing client sustainable differentiation models underpinned with independent systems and frameworks increasing revenue and profitability. These focus areas are delivered through Retail Doctor Group ‘Business Fitness’ programs.

Philip Wiggenraad is Head of Research at Hong Kong-based retail innovation company Tofugear and has over 10 years of experience in delivering insights on the latest retail and consumer trends.

Prior to relocating to Hong Kong, Philip led the analyst team at Retail Week Prospect in London, a business intelligence platform covering the digital strategies of the UK’s leading retailers, and started his career as Retail Analyst at market research firm Mintel.

With over 10 years of experience in interior design specializing in retail and hospitality, Nina leads the Greater Group Indonesia office, providing a full design service from concept through to completion, for projects all over the world.

Originally from Jakarta, Nina moved to Australia at a young age and lived there for 15 years. She joined the creative team at Greater Group Melbourne in 2014 before relocating back home to establish Greater Group office in Jakarta.

Prior to joining Greater Group, Nina worked for a number of leading architecture firms in Australia and started to develop a passion for retail design. Having a keen eye for design and business, Nina has spearheaded award-winning and innovative retail designs for international brands

Quality, cost, and time are three important but conflicting objectives for many retailers, but we are boldly challenging the status quo. Greater Group’s presence across different locations with people from different backgrounds is how they will keep transforming retail both in the Asia Pacific and Globally.

Outside of work, Nina enjoys innovative hospitality scenes and art exhibitions. She appreciates mid-century furniture and traditional craftsmanship. He founded and co-run atomi with his wife Mitsuko, a Singapore-based homegrown company that has brought everything that is made in Japan and epitomise Japanese Designs x Comfortable Lifestyle.

As the managing partner for atomi Consultancy, he advises retail businesses, prefectural governments, malls and property owners in Singapore and Japan. In 2017, he established ACTUS häuse, a leading Japanese brand that specialises in lifestyle, furniture, renovation, cafes and restaurants. The style are more European, Scandinavian and Nordic in nature.

Coupled with the retail experiences, Andrew has 20 years of extensive experience working in a range of sectors, including consumable products, IT, public sector and financial industry, in Asia Pacific, US, and Europe. Under his leadership continue to post excellent results annually with strong growth & amazing media exposure, with numerous TV show appearances in both Singapore & Japan, featured in magazines and newspapers, in both printed and online publications.
