Supply Chain 4.0 Integrated Program combines 3 core element to its 10-day training structure:
The term 'Industry 4.0' was coined to mark the fourth industrial revolution, a new paradigm enabled by the introduction of the Internet of Things (IoT) into the production and manufacturing environment. The vision of Industry 4.0 emphasizes the global networks of machines in a smart factory setting capable of autonomously exchanging information and controlling each other.
Supply chains are traditionally linear in nature, with a discrete progression of design, plan, source, make, and deliver. Today however, many supply chains are transforming from a staid sequence to a dynamic, interconnected system that can more readily incorporate ecosystem partners and evolve to a more optimal state over time. This shift from linear, sequential supply chain operations to an interconnected, open system of supply operations could lay the foundation for how companies compete in the future.
It is expected that these new technologies and innovative solutions will continue to transform and evolve supply chains and logistics in numerous ways.
