FIRST Exploration & Petroleum Development Company Limited (FIRST E&P) is a Nigerian oil and gas company that was established in 2011. It started formal business operations on the 1st of July, 2012. The company is a highly competent, privately-owned Nigerian operator with highly capable and experienced management team of oil-industry veterans led by CEO Ademola Adeyemi-Bero. FIRST E&P’s asset portfolio includes (i) 10% of ND Western’s 45% working interest in OML 34 (ii) 40% working interest of OML 83 and OML 85 and (iii) 15% of West African Exploration and Production Company Limited’s 45% working interest in OML 71 and OML 72. In 2017, the company announced a $700m strategic joint-venture project with Schlumberger and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to jointly develop OML83 and OML85 offshore Nigeria.
