Ken Charman is Professor of Strategy at CamEd Business School. He has a PhD from London Business School and since 1993 he has lived and worked in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East, leading large scale development projects primarily for the European Commission. He has had long term postings in Belarus, Syria, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and spent three years managing international development projects for the European Commission in Brussels.



Ken is joint head of the Asian Chapter for Harvard Business School's Microeconomics of Competitiveness network and is Visiting Research Fellow at the Royal Institution of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Founder of American College Test Center (ACT, USA) and USA Grade 12 program called ACT-GAC which is recognised by over 150 international universities.

Currently, developing First-Myanmar Online Accredited Courses Portal by collaborating with UK based Education Organisation which is also recognised by international universities.

His most recent awards are the James Cook University, Best Partner Award 2019 and Singapore Institute of Management, The Excellence Performing Award 2019 and 2018 SME of the Year at the Myanmar Employer Awards.

Guy Perring is Regional Director, SE Asia for i-graduate (part of the Tribal Group), an independent benchmarking consultancy, delivering comparative insights for the education sector, improving the student experience and assisting institutions in ensuring their students are achieving their objectives in employment and citizenship.

Guy is responsible for spearheading their ASEAN operation. He has worked in education for over 25 years in a variety of roles from teacher to administrator, market researcher to consultant. He previously worked at the British Council for 12 years in a variety of roles and has presented at many international conferences including Going Global, QS-Apple and the Commonwealth of Education Ministers.

Hoang Van Anh is the head of education and society unit at the British Council Vietnam. She holds a Master of Business Administration from LaTrobe University (Australia). Before joining the British Council, she worked for Australian Education International (AEI) as their Deputy Director (Education Development) and for the University of Queensland (Australia) as the Vietnam Representative. Her passion is on promoting internationalization of education. She strongly believes that partnership in education will help solve social and economic issues not just in Vietnam but regionally and globally. Her area of interest includes skills, higher education, society, research and innovation.

The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. In Vietnam, the British Council creates friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and Vietnam by working towards internationalizing education and promoting science and research partnership as well as promoting creativity, enterprise, and social innovation in Vietnam.
