Burr joined Minor Hotels from Legacy Hotels & Resorts, South Africa and Zimbabwe, where he was Area General Manager looking after five properties. He has also worked in Thailand, Maldives, India, America, Bermuda, the Caribbean, and Europe in executive general management positions. Candace graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1997; followed by a National Diploma in Industrial Design in 1999 from the Technikon Witwatersrand. Subsequently she has completed her Prince2 Practitioner’s Course, the SAPOA Property Development Programme and embarked on a Masters in Project Management.
Experience prior to joining Turner & Townsend included project management in the Retail Sector for JHI Project Management; as well as project / programme management in the Telecommunications Industry as a National Project Manager for TFMC (Pty) Ltd. In addition to project and programme management, Candace headed up a project management team specialising predominantly in large-scale “green field” developments and the Johannesburg Project Management Department, prior to being deployed to Barclays to manage the RFI process on a new retail delivery model, and subsequently the Retail Minor and Refresh programme. On her return to the office from Barclays, Candace re-focused on “greenfield” developments in the Health and Commercial sector, as well as high-end fit-outs. Candace joined Turner & Townsend Project Management in June 2008 as a Senior Project Manager, and was made an Associate Director in November 2009. Candace was subsequently promoted to Director and heads up the Project Management Department in Johannesburg.

Allan Wantenaar formed a strong foundation for his career as a specialist Hotel Advisory Consultant, having worked for international corporates who specialise in this sector, including Grant Thornton (now BDO) and JLL, before joining HTI Consulting in early 2019. Allan has worked in the consulting space for over ten years with over 70 completed projects in markets throughout South Africa as well as countries elsewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Swaziland, South Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe (amongst others). His advisory assignments include Feasibility Studies, Due Diligences, Operator Selections, Valuations and Management Contract Negotiations.

Born in Zambia, Tanya grew up on a farm in Mkushi, and later farmed in both Kalomo and Lusaka. She has a unique local knowledge of the agricultural sector across the country and in neighbouring countries such as Mozambique. This experience has broadened to include game farms and lodges in the most remote and beautiful locations. She advises and represents buyers and sellers including commercial farming groups, conversation funds and investors, travelling at least 35,000 kilometres each year in Zambia by car, light aircraft and the odd
boat trip!

Tim Ware is Managing Director and Head of Agency at Knight Frank in Zambia. Tim has been with Knight Frank in Zambia since its inception in 2004, he leads a team of professional and support staff in the provision of property consultancy services throughout Zambia. Tim is involved in the widest range of skills on a daily basis from sales, leasing, acquisition, relocation, valuation, consultancy and management of all aspects of residential, commercial and industrial property. He regularly advises international organisations on leasing, acquisition and development opportunities and has been retained on a number of the major developments in Lusaka and other towns in Zambia. Tim is a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), a Fellow of The Surveyors Institute of Zambia (FSIZ), Registered Valuation Surveyor with Valuation Surveyors Board (VSRB) and full member of The Zambia Institute of Estate Agents (MZIEA); he is the Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Zambia and Secretary of the Zambia Property Owners Association. Tim sits on the Knight Frank Zambia Board of Directors.

Mrs. Waicha Ndhlovu Yambala is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Housing Authority, (NHA) a quasi-government Institution under the Ministry of Housing and infrastructure Development. The NHA's mandate is to regulate all housing developments in Zambia and to provide decent and affordable housing to all Zambians. Waicha has over 15 years' experience in civil litigation, corporate, investment and construction law that includes Infrastructure Projects Management. She served as senior Associate at Messrs Ranchhod Chungu Advocates and briefly at Stanbic Bank as a Legal Counsel before joining the NHA as a Legal Counsel.
At NHA, Waicha superintends over 5 portfolio Directorates of the NHA, that is; - Consultancy and Projects Management, Construction, Real Estate Management and Sales, Finance and Corporate Planning as well as Legal and Administration. She further supervises the Audit and Procurement departments of the Authority. Some of her duties include infrastructure projects structuring and fundraising, supervising of construction projects, structuring joint ventures arrangements and mergers, superintending over incorporation of joint venture companies, supervising procurement of various projects, management of investment properties, supervising finance and corporate planning, attending to Legal matters, offering Board Secretarial services, among many others. Waicha has been instrumental in the on-going restructuring of the NHA which involves the repositioning of the Authority into a housing regulatory Authority, the creation of a housing Development Agency and the setting up of a housing development Fund which are underway. The repositioning is preceded by a complete review of the NHA Act which is ongoing.
Waicha holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Zambia, a post graduate diploma in Legislative Drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE), a post graduate certificate in Risk Management from Zambia Institute of Banking and Financial Services, a certificate in Taxation from ZIALE and a Diploma in Ministry studies from Christian Family Church Bible College. She is an Arbitrator, a Court annexed Mediator and a commercial Mediator. Away from the NHA, she has served on the Board of the Local Authorities Superannuation Fund (LASF) as Chairperson of the Finance and investments Committee. Waicha also served on the Board of the Women for Change.

She has held this position since the establishment of Pam Golding Properties Zambia in 2008. Under her leadership Pam Golding Properties has grown to become the leading real estate services company in Zambia. Inutu has 17 years’ experience in the property market ranging from commercial, residential, retail property as well as consulting for and on behalf of property development companies.

Paul Zyambo, a capital markets expert with a bias towards real estate investments portfolio development and management has more than 20 years’ experience in real estate capital raising and property development efforts. Paul managed a portfolio of up to $35 million assets under care in the United States of America and was later responsible for managing a circa $50 million property portfolio, in his capacity as CEO of African Life Properties Limited between 2015 and 2017. Paul leads Urban Africa Capital as CEO.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Franklin University in the United States, A Series 7 and 63 US financial markets licensing, Zambia Stockbrokers licensing and is working on completing his Masters in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School in the United States.
