About Us

The Belgo-Chilean Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit company (a.s.b.l) under Belgian law. The Chamber was established in the early 1950s. The Chamber underlines its support for the development of relations between Belgium and Chile and more particularly the strategic links established on trade and financial exchanges, but also created from the academic, scientific and cultural relations between the two countries.

The actions of the Chamber focus in particular on what makes possible the improvement of mutual knowledge, contacts and strategic alliances between companies, associations and citizens of the two countries in a cooperative perspective to face the challenges of a globalized world.

The advantage of its small size also allows personalized actions, tailor-made interventions or informal contacts, depending on the needs expressed by its members and using the network of contacts gradually built up by the Chamber and its members over six decades.

The Chamber mainly concentrates on those actions that the specific export promotion bodies are not responsible for dealing with - or less able to do so - in a complementary and cooperative manner. This ranges from the orientation of companies towards existing programs and instruments at EU level (mainly European Commission but also Eurochambres, Europe Business, European Investment Bank, European Parliament, Court of Justice and European partners), up to to a certain form of lobbying on a case-by-case basis, with Belgian and international organizations as well as with Chilean authorities or organizations. The extent of the address book of its members and its team is the main asset that guarantees the efficiency of the Chamber.
