Space ISAC will provide access to threat intelligence, threat briefings and other information sharing found nowhere else in the space community. Lab employees can also engage with Space ISAC and members with the opportunity to participate in projects in the Cyber Vulnerability Lab. Laboratory employees can apply to participate in our fellowship program where they become analysts learning cybersecurity, space and intelligence principles through hands on experiential learning. As a Laboratory Member, we offer you the opportunity to shape an engagement in the Watch Center where we co-design a threat scenario with commercial, international or defense industry together to monitor for attacks. Laboratory Fellows will propose a type of attack (see image below), identify data sets and suggest tool functionality. Space ISAC staff will seek those data sets and tools from industry to work with fellows to build out an initial use case or proof of concept for tracking adversary actions from ground to space. Laboratory Members can stand up a Community of Interest on a topic once approved by the Executive Director of the Space ISAC. Laboratory Partners are encouraged to share their capabilities and expertise with the ISAC and its members. ISAC and members will share appropriate information with its members and partners. The ISAC and Laboratory Members can partner to gain access to grants and other forms of research funding. Also, Laboratories can lead and/or participate in working groups in areas of interest and/or expertise. This will not only help advance the space community but will also afford Laboratories the opportunity to further develop their expertise.
University members will be viewed as leaders in the space sector community. This role signals a commitment to workforce development. This connects back to the mission of the Space ISAC, a university consumption of threat intelligence can dramatically increase security posture just through awareness. Space ISAC will provide access to threat intelligence, threat briefings and other information sharing found nowhere else in the space community. Students and faculty can also engage with Space ISAC and members within the Cyber Vulnerability Lab. Universities will also have priority access to send up to 16 students to participate in projects in the Cyber Vulnerability or apply for open Fellows positions in the Watch Center. This membership also provides students and faculty access to participate in Space ISAC's Value of Space Summit event held annually in the fall.
