The WCO envisions a world where optometry makes high quality eye health and vision care accessible to all people. This vision is not possible without the support of our members who enable WCO to provide resources and guidance to advance optometric education and legislation around the world.
With memberships for optometric organizations and individuals in the optometric field, our membership reflects a global community of those who are willing to support WCO in facilitating the development of optometry around the world and support optometrists in promoting eye health and vision care as a human right through advocacy, education, policy development and humanitarian outreach. There are many benefits of becoming a WCO member and supporting the development and advancement of global optometry.
If you are currently a student, you are eligible to sign up for our Student Connection to receive communications. We look forward to your contributions to the optometric field and Individual Membership upon graduation.
Individual Membership is open to individual optometrists (as defined by WCO), vision scientists, faculty, researchers, and eye care industry professionals. Your Individual Membership contributes to advancing optometric education and legislation around the world.

· Your information may be shared with the six regions (Africa, Asia Pacific, Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, Latin America and North America).
· Your first name, last name, and your organization name may be shared on the WCO website if you gave permission to do so in your application.
