Adrian Coetzee (Executive Director of iX engineers)

Adrian Coetzee

Executive Director of iX engineers

Adrian Coetzee is currently an Executive Director and Regional Manager for the Southern business of iX engineers.

I am the proud father a 17-year-old twins, Jean and Gustav and married for 21 years to Mariska. Growing up in a town called Vredendal in the so called “Namakwaland” is part of my fondest memories. My hobbies include golf with colleagues and friends.

As a young engineering entry to the construction environment in 1995 with Power Construction, my exposure gave valuable insight to the physical implementation of hard engineering. Moving into the consulting engineering environment in 1997 with V3 Consulting Engineers (later KV3 Engineers) where the design and specification of water infrastructure became a new home. In 2011 WorleyParsons acquired KV3 and with a management buyout the new kid on the block, iX engineers (Prt) Ltd was born.

As a Registered Professional Engineering Technologist with more 20 years’ experience in design and project management of Water Infrastructure, my focus recently shifted to digitization and automation within the iX digital world. I am a firm believer of digital transformation in engineering towards creating a single source of truth environment in the Building Information Modeling process within iX.

It is my opinion that the world is changing too fast for us humans to keep up and that the Transformative technologies around today will protect our psychological wellbeing, our cognitive functions and physical capabilities, while disrupting the world in harmonious collaboration with (robotic) machines.

I have always been a keen follower of new technology and have a passion for innovative solutions, to achieve results more effective and in less time.
