Transforming Planning and Operations: Insights from the Street to the Design Desk - Enhancing Road Safety through Practitioner Input and Lessons Learned for Future Designs!
Get ready for an electrifying conference where eight industry experts go head-to-head in a dynamic format reminiscent of a boxing match. We're dividing the event into two sessions, each featuring two rounds packed with action! During each round, a practitioner "the street" will share their firsthand experiences in implementing plans and designs in the real world. They'll address the hurdles they've faced, and the adjustments made to enhance both traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Following this, a planner/engineer "the desk" will offer a contrasting perspective, reflecting on the insights gained from working with practitioners and how they inform their strategic approach to planning and design.
Our objective is to foster a deeper understanding among attendees, enabling us to collaboratively devise improved plans and designs that cater to the needs of all stakeholders and make us a better practitioner, planner and engineer.
