Lt. Ryan Casey joined the Port Authority Police Department in 2008. Over his 16 years, he has served at Newark Liberty and JFK International Airports as well as the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Since late 2022, Lt. Casey has served as the Airport Operations Center Police Lieutenant for Newark Liberty International Airport & New Jersey Marine Terminals. His responsibilities include working during with the Airport Operations Center team as a liaison for the Police Department and implementing mitigations strategies to maintain roadway operations at both facilities.
Farukh Ijaz, P.E. is the President and Managing Partner of Consulting Services USA (CSA), a firm specializing in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Master Planning, and Urban Design services.
Farukh actively contributes to several professional organizations. He currently serves as the President of the Institute of Transportation Professionals Metropolitan Section of New York and New Jersey (ITE Met Section). Additionally, he is involved with LeadershipITE (Alumni 2018), ITS New Jersey, the Transportation Research Board (TRB), and the American Society of Civil Engineers Metropolitan Section (ASCE Met Section).
Farukh's leadership and expertise have made significant impacts in the field of transportation, advancing both industry standards and community infrastructure.
Michael La Fazia, P.E. joined the Port Authority’s Traffic Engineering team in 2009. Over his career, he has worked on Planning, Design, Operations, and Traffic Management efforts for nearly every Port Authority facility. He led the Port Authority Traffic Engineering efforts on the LaGuardia Redevelopment program, where many of the agency’s Traffic Management efforts were first put into practice. In early 2023 he was promoted to Senior Principal of the newly-established Traffic Management group, overseeing the Traffic Engineering functions of the Port Authority Transportation Management Center and various facility operations centers. In addition, he currently serves as the Traffic Czar of the JFK Airport Redevelopment Program, ensuring the landside traffic experience is being considered throughout construction.
