30th PECC General Meeting
Achieving a Sustainable and Inclusive Asia-Pacific through Innovation
August 15 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Seattle Convention Center Summit, Downtown Seattle, Washington, USA
Registration Deadline is 24 July
The U.S. Committee for PECC will organize the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council's (PECC) 30th General Meeting alongside APEC's third senior officials meeting and APEC Digital Month in Seattle, Washington, on August 15, 2023. As an official observer to the APEC process, PECC provides a third-party perspective to the region's biggest challenges. The annual General Meeting is PECC's primary forum for developing strategic perspectives and advice for APEC.
The 2023 General Meeting will explore ways digital tools and new technologies can create innovative solutions to the region's challenges and drive economic growth and discuss questions such as: How can policymakers and the private sector work together to ensure new technologies address shared crises like climate change? How should policymakers encourage the development and uptake of technologies to broaden workforce participation? How can APEC help SMEs leverage their unique markets and insights and use technology to compete in and serve global markets? Sessions will begin in the morning, followed by a PECC lunch with APEC Senior Officials in the early afternoon, a US-PECC and China PECC joint program on green growth cities in the late afternoon, and an evening reception with APEC Senior Officials.

PECC and APEC Senior Officials Welcome Reception
The Seattle City Host Committee, the APEC 2023 Private Sector Host Committee, and the U.S. Committee for the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) are pleased to host the third 2023 APEC Senior Officials and PECC Welcoming Reception on August 15 at the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum in Seattle. Guests will enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres in the museum's glass garden and hear remarks from key stakeholders including from the United States government, PECC, the host committees, and local elected officials. As one of three non-governmental APEC observers, PECC aims to support APEC by providing a third-party perspective to the region's biggest challenges. In fact, PECC's regional community building efforts led to the establishment of the official APEC process in 1989 and PECC's academic insights contribute to APEC's unique tripartite structure.
