Right before arriving in Hong Kong, he was Director of North East Asia department at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Asia and Pacific division (2019-2021).

He was also Consul General of Israel in Chengdu (2014-2018) and Deputy Consul General of Israel in Shanghai (2006-2010).

He has received an MBA in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Tel Aviv University, MA in Democratic Studies from Open University of Israel and BA in Economics and Chinese Studies from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

He speaks Hebrew and English, with basic Korean. He has attended Beijing University and is proficient in Chinese.

Professor Hau Kit Tai is Research Professor of Faculty of Education of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Albert is an experienced engineer, accomplished entrepreneur, innovative educator and a humanitarian worker. His research interests include robot-assisted search and rescue systems, humanitarian technology, and emergency water and sanitation systems. He is Director of Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative and Service-Learning at Lingnan University, Hong Kong.

Albert was the first Hong Kong engineer to join Médecins Sans Frontiers’ field missions in 2000. He volunteered in South Sudan during the civil war, Uzbekistan during 911, Indonesia during the South-East Asia Tsunami, Pakistan during the Kashmir earthquake, and Sichuan during the Wenchuan earthquake. Albert has completed 13 months of field mission and served as board members and advisors for major international relief organizations, including MSF and Red Cross, for nearly 10 years.

Albert co-founded INSIGHT Robotics with 2 friends in 2009 and developed world’s most accurate wildfire detection robot to protect valuable natural resources. The Company now has over 50 staff from 12 nationalities based in 5 offices around the globe. In China alone, over 70 robots are currently operating in 5 provinces. IBM named INSIGHT Robotics as Global Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 for its cutting-edge technology and social responsibility.

In 2006, Albert solo-cycled 2000 km across the Qinghai-Tibet plateau to raise $200,000 for Medecins Sans Frontiers. Prior to the Sichuan Earthquake, Albert organized the first “Emergency Engineering” course in 2006 with HK Institution of Engineers to prepare young engineers for demanding emergency relief operations. Some of the participants later contributed to the relief work in Sichuan Earthquake.

Mr. Jonathan Lai is the Chairman of the China Hong Kong Culture Exchange Association and the EDUC Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Baptist University. He is now the principal of his alma mater, Lee Kau Yan Memorial School.

Mr. Lai has immense interest in studying the governance of public organizations and exploring ways to get these public corporations such as schools connected with the community and the global environment. The Association also contributes to discovering talents and nurturing incubation projects in the Greater Bay Area. It also established a collaborative and cooperative platform for professionals from different fields to improve communication and get inspired from each other, then lead to a stage of co-creation for producing positive social capitals. Promoting shared and co-created values and collaborated messages to future leaders helps to shorten the gap among people from different cultural backgrounds and build an integrated society.

Nelson has also served in trade industries and IT committees of various government and non-government bodies, focusing on consultancy services for technological and sustainable business practices and other government statutory bodies as members of the board of directors.

Nelson was also a Torch Bearer in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a recipient of the HKSAR Government’s Medal of Honor in sports promotion for disabled athletes. Nelson’s story is about resilience, not disability. Nelson graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Computer Science and a master’s degree in Business Administration. He also holds a master’s degree in Quantitative Analysis in Business from the City University of Hong Kong from there he was conferred an Honorary Fellow. He serves as an honorary lecturer in various local Universities and was awarded Lion Rock Entrepreneur Award as well as was conferred an Honorary Fellow from Lingnan University in October 2021.

Lianna Yuen is a final-year Law LLB student studying at the University of Warwick. Living by the maxim “With great power comes great responsibility”, Lianna has been striving to expand her knowledge and skillsets to serve the community around her. With an aspiration to be an entrepreneur and philanthropist, Lianna has established a start-up project – Heart to Hear – with an aim to spread awareness for the hearing disabled community in Hong Kong. Lianna is also constantly seeking to expand her knowledge and experience in the fields of law, business, and technology. In this mobilisation seminar, Lianna will be sharing how governance and legislation play an important role in supporting the minorities in Hong Kong and how can we take part in building a better future for our community as a whole.

Nick is now the CEO of People Strong High-tech Ltd, a Shenzhen-based corporation committed to creating novel elderly healthcare solutions. His remarkable career success has earned him numerous accolades. He was recently honoured in the Hurun China “Under 30s To Watch 2020” list that recognises elite entrepreneurs aged 30 or under in China, and he was also recognised in the Forbes China “30 Under 30” 2019 list.

作为负责人承担了国家社科基金艺术学项目、中国工程院重大咨询项目子课题、国家自然科学基金等课题,在文化创新设计、商业创新设计、智能设计等方面进行了研究和探索,以第一作者和通讯作者在国际期刊《Design Studies》 、《The Design Journal》、《Human Computer Interaction》、《International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics》、《Computers in Human Behavior》等上面发表多篇高水平论文,出版著作5部,教材1部。
