CG Lati has been a career diplomat for the past 22 years and is not new to China and Asia.
Right before arriving in Hong Kong, he was Director of North East Asia department at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Asia and Pacific division (2019-2021).

Ir. Eric Chan is the Chief Public Mission Officer of the Hong Kong Cyberport. Chan is in charge of the public mission operation at Cyberport, building the ecosystem of nurturing start-ups from inspiring the next generation, through nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit, to empowering global ambition, through comprehensive entrepreneurship programmes with funding and other value-added services.
Chan has over 30 years of experience in the ICT industry, a chartered engineer, a chartered marketer, and a Fellow of Institution of Engineering & Technology (UK). Albert is an experienced engineer, accomplished entrepreneur, innovative educator and a humanitarian worker. His research interests include robot-assisted search and rescue systems, humanitarian technology, and emergency water and sanitation systems. He is Director of Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative and Service-Learning at Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
Albert was the first Hong Kong engineer to join Médecins Sans Frontiers’ field missions in 2000. He volunteered in South Sudan during the civil war, Uzbekistan during 911, Indonesia during the South-East Asia Tsunami, Pakistan during the Kashmir earthquake, and Sichuan during the Wenchuan earthquake. Albert has completed 13 months of field mission and served as board members and advisors for major international relief organizations, including MSF and Red Cross, for nearly 10 years.
Albert co-founded INSIGHT Robotics with 2 friends in 2009 and developed world’s most accurate wildfire detection robot to protect valuable natural resources. The Company now has over 50 staff from 12 nationalities based in 5 offices around the globe. In China alone, over 70 robots are currently operating in 5 provinces. IBM named INSIGHT Robotics as Global Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 for its cutting-edge technology and social responsibility.
In 2006, Albert solo-cycled 2000 km across the Qinghai-Tibet plateau to raise $200,000 for Medecins Sans Frontiers. Prior to the Sichuan Earthquake, Albert organized the first “Emergency Engineering” course in 2006 with HK Institution of Engineers to prepare young engineers for demanding emergency relief operations. Some of the participants later contributed to the relief work in Sichuan Earthquake.
Mr. Jonathan Lai is the Chairman of the China Hong Kong Culture Exchange Association and the EDUC Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Baptist University. He has been a school head of two secondary schools in Hong Kong after leaving the HK-SAR Education Bureau before the turn of the century. He is now the principal of his alma mater, Lee Kau Yan Memorial School.
Mr. Lai has immense interest in studying the governance of public organizations and exploring ways to get these public corporations such as schools connected with the community and the global environment. Ron is born and raised in Hong Kong and he is an engineer specialized in Cybersecurity and ICT industry. Dr. Maggie Haitian Wang is currently an Associate Professor in the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She received her bachelor degree (Hon) in Physics in 2005, and PhD degree in ISOM (Statistics) in 2011, from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Dr. Wang has published over 130 research articles, and was the principal investigator of RGC, NSFC and HMRF grants. Her research interest is developing new statistical and bioinformatic methods towards better vaccine design and human genome interpretation. She serves as the board of directors of the International Genetic Epidemiology Society, Council member of the Bioinformatics Society of China, Co-Director of the Master Program of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Associate Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship, CUHK.
Dr. Wang is the founder of Beth Bioinformatics Co., Ltd (BethBio). The company translates the state-of-the-art vaccine design technologies to pharmaceutical industry towards higher vaccine effectiveness and production efficiency. BethBio is a member of TSSSU program, IncuBio program supported by the ITC, and HKAI Lab, and won the Top 50 Innovative Biotechnology Company Award in the Greater Bay Area 2021. BethBio also operates a local APP, vaccine4u, to facilitate vaccination against infectious diseases including flu, COVID-19 and HPV in Hong Kong.

Lianna Yuen is a final-year Law LLB student studying at the University of Warwick. Living by the maxim “With great power comes great responsibility”, Lianna has been striving to expand her knowledge and skillsets to serve the community around her. With an aspiration to be an entrepreneur and philanthropist, Lianna has established a start-up project – Heart to Hear – with an aim to spread awareness for the hearing disabled community in Hong Kong. Lianna is also constantly seeking to expand her knowledge and experience in the fields of law, business, and technology. In this mobilisation seminar, Lianna will be sharing how governance and legislation play an important role in supporting the minorities in Hong Kong and how can we take part in building a better future for our community as a whole.
