Panel Discussion on "Is the ecosystem disrupting Fintech"
Panel discussion on why are global fintechs coming to India
An important value proposition for many digital credit models is the ability to use new types of data to improve traditional credit processes and products. As the digital credit market matures in India, this panel will take stock of the ways in which alternative data is currently being used by India’s digital lenders. It will also raise questions about the next frontier for the industry.
This conversation will seek to look beyond standard process efficiencies that alternative data can provide (such as better targeting and segmentation), to focus on how alternative data can push the envelope on better product design and bring more value to consumers. We will unpack the types of data currently in use in digital lending, and contrast this with more innovative types of data that are beginning to be used by certain providers. These types of alternative data can also be deeply personal and sensitive information for clients. Given competing considerations of client privacy and protection, panellists will also weigh in on the top issues for providers must consider when using alternative data given emerging regulation on financial privacy & data protection issues.
DLAI is proud to announce "Women in Fintech" Awards co-sponsored by Kapitaltech to honour women in the fintech world and we would like to invite nominations for the same. This would be part of the DLAI Conclave 2019.
DLAI Women in Fintech Award,is a formal recognition to recognise women in the fintech world, who have demonstrated excellence in the workplace.
A little about the competition. The awards have been set up to celebrate and acknowledge current and future women leaders, who exhibit the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and excellence and we hope to make it an annual affair. According to the World Bank Group, several studies have held that gender diversity in the boardroom leads to more efficiently and effectively run organizations, a reduced exposure to risks of corruption and fraud and, importantly, improved profit margins and return on equity.DLAI firmly believes in this ethos, and keeping the same in mind, we have in association with Kapitaltech introduced the Women in Fitech Award.
