The New World (Dis)order: Economic & Political Challenges in a World of Heightened Global Risk

Living in an era of heightened geo-political risk impacts key domestic economic drivers like inflation, interest rates, debt, and currency valuations. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is also causing political and economic pressures as countries in both the developing and developed world battle the mounting influences from the protagonists in the conflict. Simmering tensions between the USA and China are also likely to create added uncertainty and fragmentation while extending further into the business terrain. As if that's not enough, climate change, demographic shifts, rapid urbanisation, advancing technologies and rising inequality all combine to make this era more uncertain than ever. It is therefore critical to identify the core risk factors and to begin planning immediately. This is no time for glossing over the challenges ahead. Instead, we need to use the latest data to plan and strategise for future survival and profit.
