Daniel holds a master’s degree from the University of Cape Town in South African and International Politics. He was attached to the university's Institute for the Study of Public Policy where he tutored within the broader Department of Political Studies. Daniel then served in public office as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament and City Councillor in the City of Cape Town holding positions of whip for his party as well as portfolio committee chair for economic development.
Since launching his consultancy, Daniel has become a familiar name on the corporate speaking circuit and in the media – both within his native South Africa and abroad.
Toni Cianfanelli is an esteemed Audit Director at Nolands JHB Incorporated. He has over 20 years’ experience in the field of assurance and lecturing. With a deep passion for the profession, Toni has dedicated his career to empowering auditors and developing individuals within the industry. His extensive knowledge and expertise in auditing methodologies and practices have been instrumental in delivering exceptional results.
Apart from his role as an Audit Director, Toni also excels as a lecturer, sharing his wealth of knowledge with aspiring auditors. His dynamic teaching style and ability to simplify complex concepts have earned him the admiration and respect of countless students throughout his teaching career.
Recognising the importance of continuous professional development, Toni is committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends and regulations. Darryl Fordham is definitely not your ordinary auditor. He’s all about building mutually beneficial relationships and finding solutions, without compromising independence. He says he has gained tremendous satisfaction from opportunities presented in his personal and professional life. To pay it forward, Darryl enjoys being able to add value and make a difference in the lives of the people that he meets. He sees being part of someone’s personal journey as a privilege and enjoys being in an environment that encourages and develops people to be the best that they can be.
Darryl started his journey of becoming a Chartered Accountant by starting articles straight after high school and studying part-time to ultimately achieve his personal goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant. He became an audit partner in 2001 and is currently the CEO of Nolands Jhb Inc. and Nolands Audit SA.
Paul has been an advisor, management consultant, speaker/lecturer, and writer for nearly 30 years. He has worked in the private, public, education, and not-for-profit sectors in Africa, Australasia, the Middle East, the USA, and Europe. Paul has authored and facilitated several programmes, targeting youth as young as 11 years of age to senior leaders in society. Hundreds of thousands of people have attended these programmes. Paul’s passion and purpose in life is to challenge paradigms that are self-limiting. Paul believes that we all have the potential to transform our lives, achieve more than what we believed possible, make a significant difference in society, and leave a legacy that will inspire others to do the same. Paul is currently the CEO of the Nolands Foundation and Founder and CEO of Kairos Connect. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of One Million Strong NPC.
David has over 20 years’ experience advising clients on financial and transaction-related matters, including financial due diligence, BEE structuring, and M&A advisory.
David is a qualified chartered accountant and is also a certified fraud examiner and an expert on internal controls, process improvement and business reengineering, and is currently the CEO of Nolands Inc. PE.
Clive Noland is the Chairman of Nolands International and founder and CEO of Nolands South Africa, an auditing, advisory & law firm with licensed offices both Nationally & Internationally. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at the University of Cape Town where he later lectured in the Commerce Faculty at the University of Cape Town while completing an Honours Degree in Information Technology. He has gained extensive experience through his involvement as an executive and non-executive director in local and international companies. Clive was a founder member of the successful SA Prime Property Fund in South Africa and in Europe he was involved in several closed end Hotel Property funds. He was instrumental in obtaining the Master franchise for Radisson Hotels in the SADEC region and served as CEO of the group until sold to a listed company.
Clive is extremely passionate about the future of South Africa and making a difference in the lives of all South Africans. Through the Nolands Foundation, he is confident that, with the generous support of our staff & clients, the Foundation can and will make a positive change.
Wayne’s diverse professional experience began with a decade in financial services, including overseeing system design, staff training and process management for a start-up. He then dedicated 13 years to being a full-time church pastor, honing skills in leadership, people development, and social justice. Wayne's involvement in entrepreneurial ventures, coupled with being a certified Gallup strengths consultant, further enriches his profile. Proficient in team building and training, he passionately seeks to unlock and maximise the potential of people.
Ritesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a fellow member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and that of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is a Licensed Auditor by the Financial Reporting Council of Mauritius and has an MBA in Finance and is an affiliate of CFE (Chartered Fraud Examiner) USA. In 2014 he joined the Sugar Investment Trust a diversified investment group as CFO before launching his own Audit firm in 2016 and currently represents Nolands International (One the largest privately owned auditing firms in Africa) in Mauritius.
He currently serves as the Chairman of various private companies and also acts as an independent director in various global companies. Ritesh is also a registered Insolvency Practitioner.
Graeme is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor with over 15 years’ experience. He holds a master’s degree in Commerce, specializing in tax from UCT which was awarded with a distinction. As the Head of Tax at Nolands – Graeme has the overarching responsibility to educate colleagues and consult with Nolands clients on all relevant tax issues. He has presented and published research on various tax topics both locally and internationally, and he maintains a keen academic interest as a lecturer at the University of Cape Town.
Megan completed her BSc Honours Degree in 2017 and joined the Nolands Marketing team in 2020. Megan is a dynamic marketing professional renowned for her brand development and strategic marketing expertise. With a passion for helping businesses thrive in the modern landscape, Megan simplifies the complexities of marketing to empower Nolands and its Relationship Companies. Drawing from her experience she crafts personalized strategies to boost brand awareness and foster community engagement. Dr Ludovic Verbist is an accomplished financial professional, international business strategist, and experienced leader, with a diverse and impressive career spanning various sectors and continents. With an extensive background in managing financial institutions, directing international corporations, and contributing to legal and academic spheres, Dr Verbist embodies a unique blend of expertise and excellence.
Throughout his career, Dr Verbist has showcased his remarkable leadership abilities by serving as Managing Director for several prominent financial entities, including AAMIL Group, Pargesa Holding S.A, African Asian Bank Limited, and Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild (Océan Indien) Ltée. His strategic acumen and regulatory compliance knowledge have been instrumental in the structuring, formation, and administration of trusts, corporations, foundations, and investment funds.
With an academic foundation that includes a Ph.D. in Business Administration, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University, and a Law Degree from the University of Brussels, Dr Verbist has consistently demonstrated his commitment to intellectual rigor and research-driven insights.
Simon Woolley was admitted as an attorney in 2008 and joined Nolands at the beginning of 2010 to head up Nolands Forensics. Since then, he has assisted Nolands’ clients with matters ranging from commercial disputes to fraud investigations and legal action, both domestically and abroad.
Over the years, Simon has been involved in all manner of fraud investigations, commercial disputes and dispute resolution, as well as a broad spectrum of investigations into commercial and corporate transactions. His preferred approach is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team appropriate to the problem at hand, focusing on realising a balance between providing the advice or service required, and the commercial practicalities associated with the issue.
