Engr Dr. Kenechukwu Kingsley Nwangwu is the Managing Director/CEO of First Independent Power Limited, an on-grid power generation business in Rivers State. Previously, he was the Operations Manager/CEO of the Shell AfamVI Combined Cycle Power Plant (SPDC Joint Venture Nigeria Limited) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Both plants have contributed significantly to the national grid energy since inception. Rahila, a seasoned professional with 20+ years' of power sector expertise, holds a Master's in Energy Finance and a Bachelor's in Business Administration. As Director of EMRC in Nigeria, she leads teams providing comprehensive power market analysis, financial due diligence, and regulatory support.
Mrs. Muhtar is currently the Company Secretary and Legal Adviser (Chief Counsel) of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). She has cognate experience in negotiation, sourcing and allocation of funds for large-scale transmission infrastructure assets. She coordinates a team of lawyers and other professionals to provide the Legal and Financial framework to structure concessionary loans for transmission infrastructure expansion in line with TCN vision and strategic goals. In addition to her role in transmission infrastructure development, she also ensures that transmission assets are operated in line with extant regulatory codes and statues.
