PFIP launches the first-ever Philippine BAHAGHARI Awards aiming to recognize Individuals, leaders, and organizations that have shown exceptional effort in advancing LGBT+ Workplace Inclusion in the Philippines. 


NOMINATION IS EXTENDED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 9, 2022


  • Fill out the PLWIA Nomination digital form starting July 22 until September 9, 2022
  • This is open to ALL companies and organizations registered & operating legally in the Philippines
  • Nomination submission is FREE OF CHARGE

How are submissions evaluated? 


  • Independent juries coming from business, academe, and advocacy groups were selected to identify the most qualified winners 
  • Top applications for each award category will be evaluated and deliberated by a diverse panel of judges coming from the Business, Academe, Civil Society, and PFIP Executive Director. 
  • Members of the PFIP Board of Trustees and Leadership team are not eligible to be part of the judging panel. Likewise, the PFIP Board of Trustees is not eligible to be nominated.
  • Winners for each award will be announced during the 9th PFIP Anniversary Gala and Award Ceremony on Oct 28, 2022

Pride Company of the Year

is given to the company that has demonstrated consistent leadership and commitment to LGBT+ inclusion in and out of the workplace. This category is open to ALL registered & operating legally in the Philippines. 


The following are key requirements and criteria for this award:

  •  Strategic Intent and Impact - An LGBT+ inclusion strategy with clear measurable outcomes has been defined for the organization and evidence of how this has benefited employees, contributed to the business, or helped improve the organization overall is available. 
  • Leadership Excellence – The firm has demonstrated and can provide evidence of any key accomplishment, pioneering work, or outstanding contribution made by the organization to advance LGBT+ inclusion in and out of the workplace.
  • Consistency and Sustainability – The firm can demonstrate and provide evidence that its LGBT+ inclusion strategy is systemic and sustainable.

Pride Network Award

is given to the PRIDE Network that has played an active and influential role in advancing the LGBT+ agenda in and out of their workplace and fostering safe and inclusive spaces for LGBT+ individuals. This category is open only to PFIP member companies. 


  • Network Contribution – The network has demonstrated significant advancements and/or accomplishments in creating safe and inclusive spaces for LGBT+ employees.
  • Community and Commercial Impact – The network has demonstrated and can provide evidence that its network contributions have resulted in a positive impact on the LGBT+ community, regardless of whether they are out, and the organization's overall business priorities.
  • Consistency and Sustainability – The network can demonstrate and provide evidence that its LGBT+ strategy and initiatives are systemic and sustainable.

Pride Leader Award

is given to an LGBT+ individual who has served as a role model and led efforts to transform the LGBT+ landscape in and out of the workplace in the Philippines. 


  • LGBT+ Excellence – This leader serves as a role model of LGBT+ excellence by demonstrating exemplary achievements that positively impact the local LGBT+ community in their workplace and beyond.
  • Significant Achievement and Recognition – This leader has delivered an innovative, impactful, creative, or first-of-its-kind LGBT+ inclusive solution that is considered significant or groundbreaking work within the context of the landscape they operate in.

Pride Advocacy Award

is given to a grassroots LGBT+ organization that has enabled local communities to empower and impact the lives of the LGBT+ community.

 

  • Community Leadership – The organization has demonstrated community leadership in addressing LGBT+ issues, influenced and implemented changes, and empowered local community leaders in promoting social actions that improve the quality of life of the LGBT+ community.
  • Community Engagement – The organization has led or participated substantively in one or more sustainable projects that have measurable results and social impact on the LGBT+ community.
