Most recently Vice President of Talent Management at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Adrian embraced the responsibility for evolving HPE’s talent architecture into an ecosystem that supported both team member and business growth. Areas of responsibility encompassed succession planning, strategic skills, careers, the development of HPE’s people strategy, leadership model and the digital transformation of learning. Before pursuing a passion for people and a move to lead Talent Development teams and organizations, Adrian led business and go-to-market teams covering sales, marketing, and business operations within HP’s South Pacific organizations. More broadly, Adrian has contributed to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Systems initiative focused on the Future of Education, Gender and Work, the WEF IT Consortium and the publication of the Skillset Principles for Corporate Leaders at Davos in 2018. While residing in San Francisco’s bay area, Adrian has lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific, contributing to his belief in the strength of diversity across organizations, communities, and government.
Francis is the Senior Sales Director for Greater China at Panopto. Francis has more than 12 years of experience in the Asia region, focusing the last 6 years in adult and team learning. He is particularly familiar in video for eLearning, training and development, and sourcing & manufacturing. Prior to his role at Panopto, Francis was at Team Building Asia facilitating training workshops in Greater China developing HR solutions for APAC clients. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington in the USA and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. In his career, he combined a mobile app with video technology for recruitment purposes with metadata for analytics.
Vassilis (Vas) Theocharides is the Sr. Regional Manager at the Association for Talent Development (ATD) the largest talent development association in the world, overlooking Latin America, Middle East, India, Africa, and Europe. In his tenure, he has launched five major conferences in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Vas looks after strategic partnerships in the defined regions with the purpose of increasing the impact of ATD.
Ron Thomas is the managing director of Strategy Focused Group DWC LLC, based in Dubai. Ron is the former CEO of Great Place to Work-Gulf and CHRO of Al Raha Group, based in Riyadh. Ron was cited by CIPD as one of the top five HR thinkers in the Middle East. He received the Outstanding Leadership Award for Global HR Excellence at the World Human Resources Development Congress in Mumbai, and was named as one of the 50 Most Talented Global HR Leaders in Asia.
Ron’s prior roles include senior HR roles with Xerox HR services, IBM, and Martha Stewart Living. Megan Torrance is CEO and founder of TorranceLearning, which helps organizations connect learning strategy to design, development, data and ultimately performance. Megan has over 25 years of experience in learning design, deployment and consulting. Megan and the TorranceLearning team are passionate about sharing what works in learning so they devote considerable time to teaching and sharing about Agile project management for learning experience design and the xAPI. TorranceLearning hosts the xAPI Learning Cohort, a free, virtual 12-week learning-by-doing opportunity where teams form on the fly and create proof-of-concept xAPI projects.

An L&D specialist by trade, Simon has worked in both public and private sectors within the UK. Most of his career has been in the transport industry, designing and delivering vocational learning and change programmes for front line employees. Right now, Simon is a member of the leadership team at Newtyne (a specialist data and analytics company, headquartered in Edinburgh, UK) supporting the transformation of its digital learning offer. In addition, Simon is a Director and Trustee of a community charity. Simon’s true passion resides in creating winning cultures where people can learn, thrive and do their best work.
Wei Wang is the senior director of ATD Global for the Association for Talent Development (ATD). She manages ATD global partners from more than 20 countries, develops and supports member convening and networking programs, and facilitates the exchange of knowledge among the global learning and development community. Her other role at ATD is manager of the association's global perspectives topic. In this capacity, she supports professionals around the world to share regional best practices, conducts global benchmarking, and discusses cross-cultural and global talent development issues. She holds a doctorate in human resource development from The Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in management from Nankai University in China, is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP, now known as CPTD), and speaks Mandarin and English. Wang has published articles in numerous industry journals and has spoken at global conferences and workshops in China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, and the United States.
