The Organising Committee of the Wits Physicians Update and GP's Symposium invites you to submit an abstract that will be considered for presentation as a poster at the symposium. While all abstracts will be considered only a small number will be chosen for display at the symposium. When preparing your abstract please note the following:


  1. A poster submission pertains to one paper submitted by an individual that will be presented in a poster format. You may submit more than one abstract for consideration. 
  2. Please complete this form in full, including details of any co-authors.
  3. Please note that you will need to be registered for the symposium in order for your abstract submission to be considered.
  4. When composing your abstract, please use a text editor (i.e., MS Word or WordPerfect) and then cut and paste it into the box provided on the form. Please use spellcheck and the word count function! DO NOT type your abstract directly into the box!  
  5. Abstracts may be NO LONGER than 300 words and should include a background and purpose, methods, results and conclusion.
  6. By submitting an abstract for a poster presentation, it should be understood that you will present a printed poster on a poster board space and that the cost of creating the poster is for your own account.
