Based on SDG No. 11 "sustainable cities and communities", this sub-forum looks into the ways corporates and NGOs can better engage their missions in the social environments they are situated in. In working towards a sustainable environment, companies will benefit from advantages including but not limited to a more accessible transportation network, cleaner and more efficient energy, and a more culturally and environmentally sensitive workforce. 


This session emphasises the role of environmental work "E" in ESG work and how to uphold sustainable environmental practices.

Martin T.F. Tam, a practising architect, with a strong architectonic bias, of over 50 years experience, specialises in project development administration & construction management, of almost all building types, and combinations thereof, to satisfaction of end-users as well as all concerned. He is a current Chairman of FHKI BIC and INBAR Task Force Expert Member on Bamboo Construction.

Extensive social services include contributions towards advancements in professional, educational, environmental, community, and industrial, sectors of society.

Personal interests, and social conscience, have induced keen attention towards zero-carbon and sustainable development concerns via 17 SDG's of UNESCO, for Mother Earth, in the face of Father Time, in particular the Movement towards the Digital-Bamboo Age, for Greater Humanity



Kit-Fong Law

Manager - Group Sustainability, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited


Kit leads the work of sustainability analytics, performance and reporting in CLP, which is one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia Pacific. She is spearheading the Company's sustainability strategy and embeds it across the Group's business in Hong Kong and overseas. She uses scenario analysis to assess and enhance the climate strategy resilience and embed sustainability into risk management. She is leading CLP's ESG communications through the annual sustainability report, investor indices and related engagement.


Kit is a delegate in the WBCSD Leadership Programme 2018. She holds BSc in Biochemistry and MPhil degrees from the University of Hong Kong, and was a Chevening scholar at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she received an MSc degree in Development Studies.



Alice Guan

Founding Chairman of China Hong Kong Elite Union


Alice Guan is the Founding Chairman of China Hong Kong Elite Union, which is a supporting organisation of the Eco Expo Asia 12th, 13th, 14th – Eco Ambassador Programme.


Eco Ambassador Programme was held at Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2019. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, and co-organised by the Environment Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Expo serves as a gateway to the flourishing green market in Asia.


With an aim to provide valuable opportunities for postgraduate students to meet with officials from the Chinese mainland and get prepared for their future career, Eco Ambassadors Programme is co-organised with the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. Student Ambassadors will facilitate VIP mainland officials' visit to Eco Expo Asia by greeting VIP mainland officials, accompanying officials to join guided tours and help to do translation, if necessary, on the service day.
