PRIDoC 2022 will be an in-person event. A hybrid event is not possible due to the varied time zones and the large number of abstracts.

When PRIDoC 2020 was postponed to 2021 and then to 2022, we asked each PRIDoC member organization if they wanted us to put on a series of smaller virtual events or wait until we could gather in-person. Both times the unanimous feedback was to wait until PRIDoC could take place in person. With that in mind, we have spent the last year planning PRIDoC 2022 as an in person event.

The PRIDoC academic program is made up of keynote speakers, panelists, presenters, and posters.

Each PRIDoC member organization will be providing a keynote speaker and a panelist for one of our three panels: COVID-19, Climate Change, and LGBTQ2S+ Health. We have asked for these keynotes to be in-person when possible and offered a pre-recording option only when absolutely necessary.

Presenters and Posters were accepted based on abstracts submitted by August 31, 2021. Presenters have been notified of their acceptance and asked to submit their presenter form by April 29 , 2022. Those providing posters have been notified as well. Presenters who cannot attend in person have been given the option to submit a poster instead.

In order to accommodate as many presenters as possible, most presentations will take place in groups of four. During these 90-minute breakout sessions, there will be time for each presenter to speak for 15 minutes followed by a 30-minute group Q & A. All breakout sessions are in person only. Please refrain from asking us to make an exception for your abstract.

All keynotes, panels and breakout sessions will take place at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, located at 1000 Burrard St in Vancouver, BC. Your travel and accommodation must be paid for by you, the individual or your associated organization. Travel and accommodation are not paid for by PRIDoC 2022. The group rate at the Sheraton is highly discounted and we expect the rooms to book up quickly. We recommend booking your room at your earliest convenience. https://www.pridoc2022.com/travel
